Pictures from Work

The truck and I in front of the Rouleau, SK water tower, home of CTV's "Corner Gas"

The "Corner Gas" set, all boarded up for the winter.

An enclosed drill rig at a potash mine by Moosejaw

The control panel of our Nitrogen pumper.

Yours truly with dorky safety glasses running the pump.

Our bunkhouse at Antler, Sask., 4 kms from the Manitoba border.

Looking out the front widow of our truck on location.

The coil tubing unit with command center right behind it.

BJ's own drill rig, for directional drilling with coil tubing. You can see test vessels to the left of it.

Huge rail bridge by Mayerthorpe, AB. This photo is only about a quarter of the size of the actual bridge.

Our Ford 550, I just washed it after driving it nearly 900kms from Dawson Creek, BC.

A skunk by Nordegg, he got mad at me when I tried to get a closeup, so I backed off. :)

Huge coil tubing operation by Dawson Creek, BC.

CO2 "Queens" sitting on location.

Giant Beaver at Beaverlodge AB.

Lots to say but no time to say it. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words so I'll let the photos do the talking. I did cover from BC all the way to Manitoba on my last shift, a lot of driving and seeing new country side. I worked a lot and did some jobs I've never done before as well, including drilling in Saskatchewan and foamed cement well liners by Moosejaw, pretty cool. I'm tossing around the idea of taking my bike to Alberta this time. Until next time, ride safe and have fun.

Wow, looks like you have been busy! Pretty country you have up there. I hope you get your chance to do some biking on your next trip. Still house bound here, but not for long... ;-) Be safe and happy bikey!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! Thank you for the photo of the rig near Moose Jaw. I have always wanted to see it closer up than the faint view of it I get on the Trans Canada Hwy. I was told it was called the "Retirement Rig" because it's a rig you can work on and not have to travel to remote places just to find rig work. You can buy a house in Regina or Moose Jaw and sleep in your own bed!
