My acrylic sheet from Home Depot.
I went yesterday to Home Depot and I found the acrylic sheet (above) on sale for $20. So I bought it and a few boxes of stove bolts and nuts. I've been wondering how to attach the sock to the fairing, I'd prefer snaps so you can take it off to get on the bike, but I didn't know where to get them. Home Depot sells bolt on snaps that you can bolt on one side and attach somehow to the fabric. First I want to get the fairing on though. I might start on this next week if I have time. I'll probably post again on Monday, so check back then. Ride safe and have fun.
